Before You Start
Welcome to Tummy Time: A Confident Start, a class designed to help you feel more prepared, supported, and confident as you begin tummy time with your baby.
Whether you are currently pregnant, newly postpartum, or already navigating those early newborn days, this course will walk you through exactly how to approach tummy time in a way that feels doable and effective. Our goal is to help you feel less stressed about “getting it right” and more confident in supporting your baby’s development.
Thank you for being here and allowing us to be part of your baby’s early development journey. We hope this class helps you feel more confident, supported, and empowered as you support your baby through tummy time and beyond.
What We’ll Cover
✓ When and how to start tummy time
✓ What tummy time actually looks like in the early weeks
✓ How to read your baby’s cues (and what to do when they’re not loving it)
✓ Simple ways to make tummy time more successful and less frustrating
✓ How tummy time supports strength, development, and milestones
✓ Realistic expectations for duration and progression
This class is meant to give you a clear, practical starting point—with guidance you can come back to again and again.
A gentle reminder: tummy time is important, but it doesn’t have to be perfect.
Every baby is different, and some will take to it more easily than others.
If your baby fusses, resists, or only tolerates short periods, that’s okay. Progress happens over time!
Take what feels helpful, keep things flexible, and remember that small, consistent moments matter more than doing it “perfectly.”
