Before You Start
Welcome to First Words, a class designed to help you feel more confident and empowered as you support your baby’s early communication skills.
One of the most exciting milestones as a parent is hearing your baby say their first word, and while that moment is unforgettable, getting there can sometimes feel unclear or overwhelming.
This class will walk you through exactly how speech and language develop and, more importantly, what you can do in your everyday routines to support it.
Thank you for being here and for taking the time to support your child’s communication. You’re already doing more than you think — and your baby is learning from you every single day.
What We’ll Cover

A gentle reminder: language development doesn’t happen in perfect, structured moments. It happens in the small, everyday interactions you’re already having.
You don’t need flashcards, special programs, or hours of dedicated teaching time.
You just need to be a little more intentional with what you’re already doing.
Take what feels doable, stay consistent, and trust that small shifts can lead to big progress over time.

Meet Jacklin
I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist, mom of two, and the owner of Just Speechie LLC.
I specialize in helping children develop communication skills and supporting families as they navigate early language development. I’m also here as someone who understands real life, busy schedules, multiple kids, and not always having time to “sit down and teach.”
That’s exactly why this course focuses on simple strategies that fit into the moments you’re already having with your baby.
